AGL and Someva Renewables have today announced a Joint Venture (JV) to develop Pottinger Energy Park, which is expected to consist of a 1.2 GW wind farm, 300 MW solar farm, and 500 MW / 2000 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).

The proposed Pottinger Energy Park is located 60 kilometres south of Hay and 75 kilometres north of Deniliquin in NSW and is located within the NSW Gazetted South West Renewable Energy Zone. The project is in the early stages of development with preliminary community engagement and planning application underway.
