Pottinger Energy Park is establishing a Community Consultative Committee (Pottinger CCC) to support ongoing, open and transparent discussion on issues relevant to the Park.

The Pottinger CCC will play an important role as Pottinger Energy Park moves into detailed design and construction in 2026, and through its operational life (pending final investment decision). It is one of the ways we will ensure local perspectives, knowledge and insights continue to inform how the project is delivered, and that the community is kept up to date.

The Pottinger CCC provides a formal forum for constructive discussion between Pottinger Energy Park and local community representatives, Hay Shire Council, Edward River Council, and other key stakeholders on matters relating to the project. The CCC is an advisory body. It does not directly make decisions, but provides a forum to share information, raise any issues or opportunities, and discuss how potential impacts will be managed in line with the project’s conditions of approval.

The Pottinger CCC will be independently chaired and operated in accordance with the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (NSW DPHI) Community consultative committee guideline.

Meeting agendas and minutes will be published on the Pottinger Energy Park website following each meeting

Jamie Chivers, Managing Director of Someva Renewables, said the Community Consultative Committee will play a vital role in sharing information on Pottinger Energy Park.

“The Pottinger Energy Park Community Consultative Committee provides a practical way for community members to be involved, share local insights and perspectives and learn how Pottinger Energy Park is planned to be delivered. We encourage anyone with an interest in the project, or who knows someone who would be a good community representative, to get involved.”
